"I paint primarily in watercolor but recently have been exploring acrylics and mixed media. I am interested in using color to express the essence of my subject, rather that trying to make my pictures look completely realistic. The intense color expresses the emotional involvement I feel with my subject. My paintings are colorful celebrations of the natural world."
